It is with much pride and gratitude that I introduce my daughter:

Moselle Doan Z-M
She was born at 12:37am on January 14. She was 6lbs 15oz and 20 inches long. She was healthy and beautiful. And she still is:

It has been such a whirlwind since she was born. Until today, I hadn’t gotten more than a few minutes of successive sleep since sometime late Saturday night! And breastfeeding has been approximately 112 times harder than I anticipated. But it’s amazing, all of it. Even the emotional break downs I have on a regular basis. Totally worth it to be little Mo’s mom.

something no one tells you about nursing…it’s HARD in the beginning and it takes about 6 weeks or more to really get it done. Don’t give up!!! It’s such a good thing you are doing. And if you come across a hurdle call someone! The La Leche League is great for a quick call and talk with another mom who has been there and has a trick or two. I actually had more help from them than any lactation consultant I saw with any of my boys. Their website is also great lll.org
Shannon and Lisa, The nursing gets better and you will find that it’s really convenient – more than making a bottle. I agree the first few weeks are hard, please hang in there. It’s so worth it!
I agree with everything said above, as you know, Shan. Reach out if you need someone but I know you’ve got tons of support all around you. I’m not sure if your body’s allowing you to fully lay down in bed yet, but if you can, try nursing while laying on your side. It may allow you to nod off for a bit WHILE nursing.
Oh, Shannon! She’s lovely. So very happy for you and Mike (and Moselle).
She’s amazing! So happy for you!
Shannon, I am so happy for you and Mike! I know this is something that you have wanted for a long time! Congratulations, you have an absolutely beautiful daughter. Enjoy every second of it. You have been blessed with a beautiful little angel.
